Every year, World Hydrography Day (WHD) is celebrated on 21 June. This was adopted by IHO to publicize the work of hydrographers and the importance of hydrography. The theme of year 2018 WHD was ‘Bathymetry-The foundation of sustainable seas, Oceans and waterways’. The day was also celebrated in Pakistan by PNHD by arranging following distinct activities:

• Publication of hydrography related articles in print media
• Release of an information video in national language
